I would like to share some great news from CIRMA. Cromwell Public Schools has received one of the four 2021 CIRMA Excellence Risk Management Awards. We were selected under the category of Establishing Risk Management as an Organizational Priority. This award can be presented to any CT Public School District or Municipality. The most wonderful thing about this award is that we were nominated by CIRMA for the many changes that the district has made to establish robust risk management programs to transform our workplace into a safe working environment. After speaking with Mr. Ian Havens who works very closely with our district, he was thrilled to inform me that Cromwell Public Schools will be honored with this award. I know that it is always a team effort when we earn awards as a district; however, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the hard work of Mrs. Michele DiMauro, Director of Human Resources, for ensuring that CPS has made this an organizational priority for us. We all know that taking good care of our employees, will only help them take care of our most valuable asset, our students! Enza Macri, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools
