Important Information regarding the Kids’ Korner programs in Middletown, Cromwell, and Portland: The staff at the Middlesex YMCA Kids’ Korner before and after school programs have worked diligently over the past school year to make the program fun and exciting for the children in our care. The staff will continue to focus on character development, social emotional learning, and healing from the trauma of COVID-19. We understand that this year has been extremely difficult for children so our focus will continue to be on social emotional growth and helping children make connections with their peers. Our staff have received several trainings this school year regarding trauma-informed care and mindfulness and are ready to make the next school year even better than ever! We also understand many families will be continuing to work from home and many not be in need of the traditional before and after school program. No worries…. our program is more than just a childcare and provides fun and enriching experiences. You can still work from home and our staff will bring all the fun! Our Kids’ Korner staff will continue to provide fun and enriching experiences for all children, such as STEM experiments, service learning projects, and outdoor educational activities.
